In line with the Hong Kong Convention, 2009, the Agency, being the Competent Authority, is saddled with the responsibility of issuing the requisite permit for Ship Recycling Facilities to operate (Ship Scrapping Facility). 

In order to Ensure that environmental and safety standards are complied with, officers of the Agency conducts regular monitoring of the facilities
