Training Record Book
Training Record Book for Cadets / Ratings can be used by trainees in order to provide documentary evidence of having completed a properly structured on board training programme in accordance with STCW 2010.
Cadets
TRAINING RECORD BOOK (TRB) is part of the Qualification Requirements for Cadets Certification. The completed TRB (Deck or Engine) is to be submitted for assessment of eligibility to sit for the examination leading to certification as officer of the watch:
- OFFICERS IN CHARGE OF AN ENGINEERING WATCH (ENGINE CADETS)
- OFFICERS IN CHARGE OF A NAVIGATIONAL WATCH (DECK CADETS)
Master or duly authorized Officer onboard vessel is to verify that the various ASSIGNMENTS and TASKS are completed by signing the appropriate sections.
All cadets MUST obtain training records books before going onboard. NIMASA has approved the use of International Shipping Federation (ISF) Training Record Book.
The ISF Onboard training record books are also available at the following NIMASA office at a subsidized rate of N5, 000 per copy.

Ratings

- RATINGS FORMING PART OF AN ENGINEERING WATCH AND RATING QUALIFYING AS ABLE SEAFARER ENGINE
- RATINGS FORMING PART OF A NAVIGATIONAL WATCH AND RATINGS QUALIFYING AS ABLE SEAFARER DECK
